Frequently Asked Questions

I can certainly understanding struggling with unwanted sexual behavior. My journey into this work began with my own recovery from sex addiction.

There are lots of things you can do to alter/stop this behavior. You definitely aren't alone, especially these days. Lots of people struggle in this area.

Here are a few resources:

  • I put together a video that dives a bit deeper into what sex addiction is, what it is not and what you can do about it. You can check that out here: https://youtu.be/UrDWDRjUlo0
  • A Certified Sex Addiction Therapist or CSAT could be a helpful avenue to pursue. They are trained to work with people who are unable to stop unwanted/harmful sexual behavior on their own. Many therapists don't understand this area, so it helps to work with someone trained for it.
  • Sex Addicts Anonymous is a shame-free, nonjudgemental 12 Step group that has TONS of resources for this stuff. A lot of people think of 12 Step as just meetings, but there are lots of helpful things in addition to meetings in the SAA community. Groups can be found in many locations and always by telephone: www.saa-recovery.org
  • Fight the New Drug is putting out tons of great resources for understanding and recovering from compulsive porn viewing: fightthenewdrug.org/resources/
  • Dr. Patrick Carnes has written many books on the subject that are really informative and helpful. He's a great person to check out.
  • Other great people/groups to check out: Charlotte Kasl, Rob Weiss, Staci Sprout, No Fap and Mark Queppet.

Please know, you are NOT ALONE in this struggle. Sex addiction affects MILLIONS of people. Recovery is more available than ever and IT IS POSSIBLE TO HEAL.

Don't suffer any longer than you have to. Help is available any/everywhere in the world on any budget!

Nope. I am not. I cannot offer official diagnosis, prescribe medication or anything of the like. What I can do is help provide the guidance, support, accountability and tools needed to move along your journey in a challenging and fulfilling way.

I highly recommend including a therapist as part of your support team. Abuse, addiction and trauma are very prevalent in people on the sacred warrior's path. Working with a trained specialist in this area is invaluable.

Jace loves to partner with people and groups who are dedicated to positively impacting the world. Please reach out with the form on the speaking page to get in touch.
